The underpainting continues here. Now I’m blocking in shapes within the figures, getting the shadows and light sources represented. I tend to start with flesh and faces before I get to clothing and hair, by the nature of the way acrylic paints work. I’m also starting with the figure on the right, as the figure on the left is in front of her. The girls represented here had slightly different skin tones, so while the underpainting is the same, I’ll actually paint them in separate sittings.
