Street Art Progress: Day Three

Here, I fixed some of the proportion issues I had and tightened up a few things. I was really unhappy at this point. Cold and unhappy.

It was nearing the end of the first day and I was frustrated as hell, but I’d been at that point many, many times with paintings in the past. So, I brought in the next element, a South American tribal design coming from her head. If you’re familiar with the Colombian artist Stinkfish, you’ll know I totally swiped this from him. I’m okay with that. The man’s great and worth swiping from.

I was losing light and this was the last thing I could do. While putting the lines in, a maintenance man and the owner of the building were walking by. In a redneck-ass voice, the guy says, “Whut in da hell is dat sposed tuh be?”

The owner woman replies, “It could be a pretty lady with things coming out of her head.”

It could be, yes. That was enough for one day.

Coming in fresh, I started tightening things up on the figure, cleaning and polishing. A good night’s sleep made a huge difference and I was getting excited about where this was going.
