Process: Fire in the Eyes, Smoke From the Mouth – Day Three

For the under-painting, I opted to go with a palette knife. The blade worked really differently on canvas, as the paint had all of those pores and crevices to fill in. I also did a little bit of work with a brush. Surprisingly, a lot of this didn’t get covered up in the final painting. The hair especially did some cool things that I couldn’t bring myself to paint over.
