Jake “The Snake” Roberts

Jake the Snake Roberts painting by Rob Schamberger

Acrylic on 36″ x 48″ canvas panel

Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is easily one of the most well-known names in the history of professional wrestling. He really had it all: The look, the wrestling, the ring psychology, the big-ass snake, it was all there. He put over numerous opponents, making superstars out of them while not hurting his own standing. Most notably, he was the man facing ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin at the 1996 King of the Ring, using a religious gimmick. After beating Roberts, Stone Cold got on the mic and gave the most famous promo ever, “You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn’t get you anywhere! Talk about your psalms, talk about John 3:16…Austin 3:16 says i just whipped your ass!” Austin would have gotten over, as we can clearly see, but the way he did wouldn’t have happened without Jake!

Also: I’ve heard that his anaconda don’t want none unless you got buns, hun.

All of these are amazing! Keep up the good work!

I have few questions, Since you’ve already met your goal can people still purchase gifts through your Kickstarter? Is the Ric Flair stencil the only one available for the 25 and 50 levels? What are the dimensions of the sketch card at the 10 level and canvas that you use for the 25 and 50 levels?
