How You Can Help My Kickstarter Project

Hi friends!

I thought I’d take a moment to talk about the different ways that you can help with my Kickstarter project to paint every one of wrestling’s World Champions.

Of course there’s making a pledge to the project. Every little bit helps me out, and there’s some pretty kick-ass gifts involved. But for those of you who don’t have the resources to pledge, or who may not be particularly interested but still want to help me live my dream, there are things that you can still do. Getting the word out to as many people as possible increases my chances of fully funding the project, and in the age of the internet and social media that’s easier than ever.

Here are a few options:

TWITTER

@RobSchamberger is painting every one of wrestling’s world champs! http://kck.st/HAuEsO

Or something similar. If you can include my Twitter handle I’ll be able to thank you for your efforts! You can also reach out to one of the bigger names in the business on my behalf, hoping for a re-tweet. This happens more than you’d think, and it’s how I got Jim Ross to mention the project!

Just put in the person’s Twitter handle and this message:

@RobSchamberger is painting every one of wrestling’s world champs! Please RT! http://kck.st/HAuEsO

So that would look something like:

@SteveAustinBSR @RobSchamberger is painting every one of wrestling’s world champs! Please RT! http://kck.st/HAuEsO

FACEBOOK

On Facebook, first go ‘Like’ my page at http://www.facebook.com/robschamberger. Then you can do a status update. You’ll start by pasting in the Kickstarter link above, and Facebook will automatically generate a thumbnail. Then you can type over that link by typing in the following message. To tag me so that I can know to thank you, start typing @Rob Schamberger and you’ll get the option to select my page. Here’s how the message will look:

Art of Rob Schamberger is painting every one of professional wrestling’s world champions! Please help his Kickstarter project to pay for them!

Of course, feel free to change up the messages and personalize them. These are just suggestions. These basic concepts also work for other platforms like Pinterest, blogs and message boards. Keeping the momentum going is essential to this being a success. Having the word coming from people other than me shows that there is a real and genuine interest, and will make sharing more likely.

If you’re in the media (newspaper, radio, TV, podcast, blog, etc): I want to talk to you. There’s a lot of press coming on this, but every interview helps. Hit me up at robschamberger at gmail dot com!

I thank you all so much!

Hey, Rob. Saw you this past weekend at the Metro Pro Wrestling event. Would like to giv you SOMETHING monetary-wise before this due date. But, I don’t know how. I liked you on facebook, should I friend you as well? Also, if I had the money I would have bought that painting of Harley Race outright, even w/ nowhere to put it. And I’m not one to actually buy paintings. But this one, even without him signing it, is something seriously special, and actually touched me on some other level. If you don’t reach you’r goal by the time you specify, I’ll buy that painting, if you’ll hold it for me for 2;mths, for more than the $400(especially if’n signed) as long as you can arrange for me to meet Harley Race in person. My HS best friend’s mother used to run with Harley and all those wrestlers from the hayday of the ’60’s-’70’s. And, I might like to give the painting to her if’n I won/bought it.
