Believe it or not, this is the first event poster I’ve made for WWE. Six years working together and we can still have some firsts!
This was the piece that made my schedule so haywire for a few weeks there. It was a last-minute request and needed a quick turnaround but there was no way I was going to miss out on the visibility of something of this nature so I took it on. Several late nights ensued along with several weeks of no nights off, but so worth it.
I wanted to push what I did on a recent Andre the Giant painting further and this felt like the right project for that, from color combination, layout and complexity. That cage was a sum’bitch to paint!
Anyway, I had to put my best effort in on this since WWE and the Golden 1 Center used it to promote the show even more than what was already being done. They were only going to get my best work, you know?
