Gerald Brisco is one of the most-respected people in the world of pro wrestling. He made his name early in life, first after winning two AAU tournaments, then in professional wrestling as one of the most dominant tag teams ever with his brother Jack. Throughout the 1970’s he won numerous singles title, and in 1981 he won the prestigious NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. In the mid-1980’s he retired from active competition to work backstage for the WWF/WWE. In the 90’s, he was rediscovered by the fans as one of Vince McMahon’s on-screen ‘stooges’ with Pat Patterson. In 2000 he won his first WWE title (in his 50’s!) after pinning Crash Holly to become the Hardcore Champion. He continues to work for the WWE, now in the role of a talent scout.
