Acrylic, spray paint, stencils and collage on 3′ X 6.5′ wood

I feel like I took my craft up a level with this one. I even said to Katy, “I’m going to turn the volume up this time.” There were a lot of elements at play, all circling around the idea of showing how beauty decays. There’s also the concept that I wanted it to look like a graffiti wall that had been just randomly cut out.

Check out the cool things that happened with the paint here. The pattern within the letters, where the paint cracked to reveal the paint below it, was totally unintentional but pleasantly surprising.

The stencil at the bottom I had made for another project I’m working on and used it here as well. News on what this stencil is being used for to come hopefully sooner than later!
