Acrylic on 24″x48″ wood
I wanted to get outside of my habits with this one, so I mostly eschewed using a brush and opted for a palette knife instead for the figure. I even did some finger-painting, pouring a little paint into my hand and then dobbing it on with my finger. The hair, eyes and lips were done with a brush. I then brought in the fogged-window effect by watering down some gesso and then applying it with a rag. What was fun was that the picture mostly came out as I had seen it in my mind before I started.
